So sorry to hear the sad news about David. Although I hadn't met up with him for over ten years, I have such great memories of our time working together at DEC. Mike Chamberlain.

David, we will always remember the times we spent with you and our respective families along with other close friends. Many a fine time was had with BBQs and socialising from when the children were very young. One anecdote I remember well is that you spent your honeymoon in Massachusetts on a business trip for Digital Equipment, I believe this was the first time I met Maija! You were always a force to be reckoned with at work; I worked with you at Digital for a number of years and I learnt a great deal from you which I will always appreciate; your guidance was invaluable. I also remember we had a critical meeting in the USA, but we arrived at Heathrow very late and the gate was ‘closed’! But, there was a note in the system such that we were told to hurry, when we got to the plane we were turned left! i.e. bumped from Economy to First class. Very nice it was too. Jane also remembers well that you were in Hospital (Tonsils I believe) and Maija visited and found that Jane had just given birth, so was the first person (other than the staff, Jane and I) to see Luke. Tony & Jane.

David, you were always a huge presence – full of energy, fun and wit. As a family, we have so many memories of your hospitality, kindness and generosity. You were very kind to our daughter Katy who went through so many health challenges before her passing – you were always able to make her giggle. Mr. David is a man with a great heart. He was once helped me when my Dad passed away by sending me to my home country to witness the funeral of my Dad.
